Linked List is a small, independently run project. We care about your privacy and we're not in the business of selling your data. Here's the straightforward version of how we handle your information.
When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password (which is securely hashed — we never store it in plain text). When you use Linked List, we store the lists you create, the links you save, and your interactions like follows and upvotes. That's about it.
Your information is used to make Linked List work — showing your profile, displaying your lists, powering your feed, and sending you essential emails (like password resets and email verifications). We don't send marketing emails or sell your data to anyone.
We use a session cookie to keep you logged in. That's it. No tracking cookies, no third-party analytics cookies, no advertising pixels. Just the one cookie that makes the "remember me" part work.
We don't share your personal information with third parties for their own purposes. We use standard infrastructure services (hosting, email delivery) to run the site, and they process data only as needed to provide those services.
You can export your lists at any time from your account settings. If you want to delete your account and all associated data, contact us and we'll take care of it.
If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of the page. For significant changes, we'll do our best to notify you via email.
If you have any questions about this policy, reach out to us at hello@linkedl.ist.
